Deconstruction IREEC paragraph

TIPS FOR WRITING A STRONG DECONSTRUCTION PARAGRAPH:
·        Make sure your topic sentence clearly states what the body paragraph will be about.  To do this, answer the first question in your topic sentence.
·        Provide 2 pieces of EVIDENCE to support your topic sentence.
·        Make sure your explanations clearly show a response to the questions above.
·        Wrap up your body paragraph with a strong CONCLUDING SENTENCE.
·        Transition smoothly between sentences.  This should read like a smooth paragraph in which each sentence flows nicely into the next.  It should not read like each sentence is a separate answer to a different question.

SAMPLE DECONSTRUCTION PARAGRAPH:  What NOT to do

Companies construct their ads to hide the lies and discrimination inside.  So when you deconstruct the ads, you can really see all of the lies being told.  Some ways to deconstruct are asking yourself these questions:  Who or what is the target audience?  In this ad, it is men and women over 21 that drink.  Does this ad disempower any specific group of people?  In this case, yes it does it disempowers Spaniards, saying “ALL THE SPANISH you need to KNOW Mexico via Pacifico” This means you only need to know the name of a beer to be able to go to Mexico.  (BIG NO-NO)
